The most southerly city in Chile

I’m now in Punta Arenas, the place I originally proposed to be my stopping point. It took 2 days to cycle here from Puerto Natales. The first day was absolutely freezing and I never set off until noon so I didn’t get far, only to Rio Rubens that is about a 40 miles ride. Actually I only stopped because there was a hotel there and I didn’t want to risk having to camp. Next day I set off at 9.30 and the road was an ice rink. It had rained a tiny bit through the night then froze over. By the afternoon the sun had thawed out the ice and the temperature was good for cycling. With the going good I kept on cycling to 10pm at which point I reached Punta Arenas. And that was 105 miles, the most I’ve cycled in a day yet (with all my stuff). My bum seems to have survived the saddle although I do wish I had bought a brooks seat.

Are you going to keep heading south

What are the bottles for, it looks like small shrines, are they empty or filled with water
