What! bussing it now?

Yes. The luxury of public transport yet again from Coyhaique to Puerto Ingeniero Ibanez then a wee ferry over to Chile Chico. As you can see by the photo the road to Puerto Ingeniero Ibanez has disappeared under snow so I didn’t think I was robbed of a doable cycle. I arrived off the ferry at Chile Chico and reloaded my bike and set off for the Argentina border, which was just around the corner. Every thing was closed in Chili Chico - it was in the middle of the afternoon and everything closes for a couple of hours in this part of the world so I didn’t stop to look around. I crossed the border and it was a scenic cycle by the shores of Lago Buenos Aires. Found a good camping spot just before it got too dark.

Next day was a short but cold and windy cycle to Perito Moreno where I stayed in a hotel and washed my clothes, as the room was a furnace, handy for drying.
